Firebrands runs a large and vibrant Junior Section catering for 8 to 15 year old Boys and Girls. Over 15's are incorporated into the Senior club (refer main club information). At Firebrands HC we recognize the need to develop talent through structured coaching and player mentoring in a safe and friendly environment. All our coaches are recognised by England hockey and are well experienced in positively encouraging junior players to develop and work on their core skills.
Currently the Tuesday sessions are closed to new members as we have reached capacity this season. This is because there is a limit on the number of children that we can accommodate on the pitch at the time for safety reasons and to maintain an appropriate ratio of children to coaches in order to provide a quality coaching experience.
Training
Is at our clubhouse and pitch at Failand starting on 13th and 14th September running till Easter with Christmas and half-term breaks:
Mondays:
6 to 7 pm Under 14 and 16 Girls 6-30 to 7-30 pm Under 14 and 16 Boys
Tuesdays:
6-15 to 7-15 pm Mixed under 12s and novices starting at the age of 6.

When we play
Matches are mainly played on Sundays We also enter teams in the EH knockout cup competitions for Boys u16 and Girl u14 and u18 and put foreward selected players for County/Regional representation consideration.
We also run Holiday Training Camps. |
