At one of the happiest and carefree, often careless, times in my life – you were a central figure. You were the first and only person to make me feel that I really was a good hockey player and a special goal scorer. That confidence as the miles and scrapes we experienced together helped make me and cemented my affection and respect for you.

I have tried to follow your commitment and example with Club and Country – Hopefully with some success.
