| I
first met Keith when I was a 14 year old playing in the junior Somerset
side. His enthusiasm and love of the game was already obvious then. When
I moved to London, Boardy would regularly ring me, keeping contact and
trying to entice me to Firebrands.
His persistence paid off and I eventually joined the club in the 90’s.
His enthusiasm and dedication have been an inspiration to us all.
Since 1990 I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Keith, discussing hockey
and enjoying his banter. I had the utmost respect for Keith and will miss
his larger than life character around the club. To me he will always represent
hockey at Firebrands and the West.

The world of hockey is a relatively small one but has some very large
characters in it and Keith was certainly one such. His work on umpteen
Committees in the West was astonishing and his work for and loyalty to
his club an example to all.
But I remember him best at the various Firebrands Vets. Tournament which
to my mind became the stuff of legends.
