| It
was through hockey that I first met Keith, when I was running teams for
Somerset Schools. I very soon recognised Keiths qualities as a manager
and persuaded him to run a team for Somerset Cricket Association.
I know that the boys who played under him for several years had very great
respect and affection for him. He was a very rare being and we shall miss
him.

Keith was a wonderful and loyal friend. I am eternally grateful for the
support and encouragement he offered me throughout my time at Firebrands.
Keith generated an infectious commitment to the club, I will never forget
his excitement and rare show of emotion when Firebrands finally achieved
National League Status.
I will also remember with great fondness Keith’s wonderful sense
of humour, I have many happy memories of being “gently ribbed”
following yet another poor performance on the pitch.
