Welfare & DBS

At Firebrands HC, we take the welfare of our Senior & Academy members seriously and we are committed to ensuring that they train & compete in a safe and fun environment.

If you are experiencing a difficult time, either within your personal life or within your life at Firebrands, help is at hand. Our welfare officers Sophie Mason & Ross Opie offer a wealth of expertise and are happy to advise you should you need it.

All of our coaching staff have been assessed and checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), formally the Criminal Records Bureau, and hold up to date certificates making them eligible to work with children and young people at Firebrands.

If you have any queries or require further information regarding our DBS procedures, please contact our DBS Liaison Officer/Welfare Officer Simon Jackson (firebrandshockeyclub@gmail.com).
